Hello Peeps
Can you believe it is Week 52 of my Art Features already? All in good timing because it's also the end of the year!!
Today's journal will be a summary of 2014. If 2013 can be described as thunderstorms and brewing storms, I am glad to say 2014 was a year of sunshine (well on most days that is ).
~2014 in a nutshell~
The year began with me fretting over what I will do once I graduated from my undergraduate degree. As you know (or may not know), the last thing I wanted was to end up working in corporate D:
I got my first car in early Jan 2014 which I now named the lil' red beast (very unoriginal I know : P )
My marks gradually improved (an improvement from 2013 where my marks plummeted to an abyss)
In Jun 2014 (after months and months of worrying about the future) I got accepted into my postgraduate Speech Pathology course!! Now I have a clear vision of where I am heading and what I want to do. Most importantly, I can say goodbye Corporate World and good riddance
We got our bathrooms and kitchen renovated which was exciting and rather special
I fell in love with fitness classes, being addicted to Pilates, Yoga, Body Combat, Zumba and my all time favorite NRG (Hi-Energy Dance Class)
I got my wisdom teeth taken out after a year of cheek biting. I should have gotten them out ages ago. Now that they are gone, I feel all too glad (aside from the bleeding, it wasn't that painful)
In terms of photography and my fantasy novel, nothing much really happened there. It was much the same old same old. Hopefully in 2015, I can take these two hobbies to new heights.
I didn't travel to many places this year. It's a pity because I like road trips and visiting new places - let's hope 2015 will open up more opportunities for travel
My four years as an undergraduate is over. Whilst the journey has been fun and I made some friends along the way, there are many things I could have done, many opportunities I could have taken, a lot of things I could have said and not said. I guess there's really no point wishing this and wanting that. All you can do is improve as a person and make the most of the coming year!
So overall, 2014 was a major improvement from 2013 (the year of thunderstorms, metaphorically speaking). Let's hope 2015 will be even better!!

Book 1 of my YA Fantasy Manuscript is COMPLETE!
I started writing my YA Fantasy Sword and Sorcery manuscript "Days of Destiny" in 2007. Fifteen year old me slaved away to write the manuscript in bouts of happiness and tears. But overall, I was never happy with it. I finished writing the book in 2010 and began my rounds of editing until 2011. Then from 2012 to 2019, I shoved it away, not wanting to look at it again. Ever. Then came 2020. What a year it has been. I dared to take out the manuscript again. You wouldn't believe the amount of cringing I did as I read each and every word. It pained me to think "holy crap I wrote this" (* digs a hole and hides in it*). I took the massive leap of faith and gave "Days of Destiny" a 360 revamp. Gone are those yucky filler words, passive verbs, stale story-line, and poor characterization. This year I've learned so much as a writer. From joining writing groups, to creating a bit of book swag, to honing my craft, and documenting my writing journey on social media. I can't wait to see where
New Year 2020
Cliches as ever, but I can’t believe 2019 is gone and we are four days into the New Year already. So much can change in a year. I tend to look at the bright side of things and I don’t let myself stay in the dark of the tunnel for long- I go searching for that light at the end. You got to see the good in the bad and make the most of every day. Looking after those around you is important as is the importance of self-care and taking time out each day to do something you like. Make 2020 the year for sharing some love to yourself and people around you. Even when times are tough, it’s important we don’t forget to laugh d
Vote for me #eyehealth.
My photo (above) made it into the Top 5 of the Macular Disease photo competition. Let's all raise awareness for eye health because vision is one of those things we often take for granted and being the passionate photographer that I am, vision means a lot to me 📷

Flabnbone's Feature Week 97#
 Hello Lovelies
I have been a little MIA on DA in recent months. I am back now with a very long and very overdue feature of some my favourite photos from the DA community.
Where have I been all these months? Placement, studying, work, and more work. For the next month or so, life should be relatively less busy, so hopefully I can spend more time on DA. It is crazy to think that I have been on DA for nearly 9 years now. DA is the place where I first began my photography journey and learned from lots of amazing artists. This is the place where I will continue to grow and learn.
Aside from DA, you can also find me on my Instagr
