Here's to another long and overdue feature. Life just keeps getting busier and busier. It doesn't help when placements have started and is equivalent to full time work. Nowadays, it's wake up early, go to placement, come home, eat dinner, relax, sleep. There's barely any time for anything else. That's why the weekends are treasured time at the moment. Now I know why people are always going on about Friday Friyay and Weekend Fever- I totally understand now...
My placement is in Sub-Acute and Rehab. It's very different from my previous placement in Acute. To be very honest, I like my first placement more because it was fast moving, you see the patient once and never see them again, and the work was more routine. Now, it's more slow, you see the same patients over and over, there lots of paper work and you need to be creative and strategic about what you do with your patients each day. In my previous placement, it was only me and another student to one supervisor. Now, there's four students including myself to one supervisor. Again, I prefer the 2:1 ration rather than 4:1 (four is just way toooo much!)
Aside from placement, my heart is having double thoughts. Yes, I would like to work in an acute hospital once I graduate but at the same time, I want to start my own online business of some shape or form. I have no idea what produce or service I want to offer, just that I have this urge to bring back out my commerce roots (after all, my undergraduate was in Commerce, Marketing). I guess only the future will tell.
